Insurance
If you are wondering whether your insurance company, Medicaid or Medicare might cover our Home Health Services, the best thing to do is to contact us, because insurance coverage can vary widely. We accept all forms of insurance, public and private, and we can investigate your coverage for you. Private payment arrangements may also be possible.
Some insurance companies — but not all — require that you or your loved one meet their definition of “homebound” in order to qualify for home health care. But that may be less restrictive than it sounds. It usually means that you find traveling out of your home difficult and taxing; it does not mean that you never leave home, say to go to church, doctor's appointments, or to visit family members. There are exceptions. We will assist you in determining your homebound status.
When you call us, we will ask you a series of questions about the services you think you need, your medical history, and the name and policy number of your insurance. We also will ask whether you have a doctor’s order yet for home health care. If you do not, we will contact your doctor for you.
