Facilities to Suit Your Needs

The Birthplace is a 27-bed facility with 15 private birthing suites, which provide a private place where families can experience labor, delivery and recovery in one room. The suites have a television set and a private bathroom with a shower, and can accommodate your partner or birthing coach. We highly encourage rooming with your newborn.

Our new, state-of-the art maternity beds are one of the highlights of our birthing facility, providing added support and comfort. These new birthing beds — designed with the laboring mom in mind — offer added lumbar and perineal support. In addition to our birthing suites, we have surgical suites in the Birthplace for planned cesarean sections.

The Birthplace also has two waiting areas for visitors and family members. The first waiting area is across from the elevators on the fifth floor of St. Mary’s Medical Center, and the other is a family-friendly waiting area within the Birthplace that has a children’s play area, television, restroom, coffee and computers.
