Family-Centered Focus

We are honored to be involved in the birth of your child. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave with your new baby, we feel as though we are an extension of your family. Our Birthplace family is made up of experienced labor and birth nurses, lactation consultants and obstetricians who love what they do.

During your stay at the Birthplace, they will assist and educate you and your partner in caring for your newborn. Our caring and experienced nurses can offer instruction, advice and support for everything from bathing and swaddling to breast and bottle feeding.

We know what a magical experience the birthing process is for everyone in the family, so we support family involvement before, during and after your newborn is delivered. We will help you create the right birth plan for you so that your baby's birth can be a cherished and unforgettable experience. You tell us what you need and desire, and we'll listen: together we'll help you decide on a plan, including what types of procedures and pain medications you want to use during labor and delivery.

We also encourage the participation of the father or partner during the birthing process. A birth partner’s involvement in labor and delivery is not only a helpful and comforting to the mother, but an important bonding experience for the partner and newborn. And the Birthplace even offers a series of popular childbirth education classes for you, your partner and future big brothers and sisters, such as Boot Camp for Dads, a perennial favorite.
