Care Waiting On Patients

As St. Mary's Trauma Unit staff, we've dedicated ourselves to making sure that when patients come through our doors, we're waiting for them. We know the difference that time can make in situations involving trauma.

When you or a family member come to us for trauma care, here's what you can expect:

• A  trauma surgeon — as well as the full team of 12 to 15 doctors, nurses and specialists — will be in the ER Trauma Bay for the highest level of activation for a trauma team. Even before the patient arrives.
• All of the equipment needed to handle life-threatening emergencies
• A surgical suite available immediately if surgery is needed
• A wide range of specialty services readily available, with the trauma surgeon coordinating care every step of the way.

It's this extraordinary level of care that has lead to us being recognized as a Level II Trauma Center.
