Our team of trauma experts meets you at the ER doors. This saves time so the patient gets from the ER to the CT Scan and into surgery in less than one hour. And every second counts!
This trauma response team is composed of the following people:
- Trauma Surgeon
- Emergency Room Physician
- ER Nurse(s)
- Trauma Clinical Nurse Specialist
- Resource Nurse (who assists other nurses)
- Lab Technician (to draw blood)
- Ultrasound Technician (to check the abdomen)
- 2 Radiologists (to x-ray the patient)
- Respiratory Care Practitioner (to clear the airway)
- Chaplain
- Social Worker
- Orderly
In the case of an injured child, all of the above specialists gather, plus:
- Pediatric Intensivist
- Pediatric Nurse from the ICU
- Pediatric Pharmacist
